My political and business experience, and local community participation is what motivated me to seek to become a Liberal Councillor on the City of Sydney.
As an entrepreneur active in the City of Sydney, I know first hand the difficulties businesses face when dealing with the City. Council has developed a culture that stymies investment and growth through red tape, rather than encouraging and celebrating enterprise. I will champion the concerns of small and medium businesses, which are the engine room of the City’s economy, and are what makes it such a vibrant and energetic place.
As Deputy Chair of the Cultural and Creative Committee, I want to see Sydney become the undisputed cultural capital of the southern hemisphere. Sydney is blessed with beauty second to none in the world, but there is much to do to make it the truly global city we can be proud of.
As a lifelong local of the City, I have always tried to find ways to give back, and have a long history of community service, predominately through working with youth that are at risk of developing a negative relationship with the police and juvenile justice system.
